Potawatomi Ventures Hosts 2026 Potawatomi Gathering Economic Summit and Business Expo
Potawatomi Ventures hosted the Economic Summit and Business Expo at the 2026 Potawatomi Gathering bringing together tribal leaders, business professionals, entrepreneurs, and community members from the Potawatomi sister tribes.
The Potawatomi Gathering is hosted each year by one of the 12 bands of Potawatomi, providing an opportunity for members of all bands to come together and celebrate their Potawatomi heritage. This year, the Forest County Potawatomi Community hosted the Potawatomi Gathering in Crandon, Wisconsin. The Gathering included a language conference, cultural workshops, language classes, cultural classes, sporting events, and more, providing opportunities for community members, leaders, and organizations to share knowledge, honor traditions, and explore opportunities that support a strong future for Potawatomi people. The Economic Summit and Business Expo were held as part of the 2026 Potawatomi Gathering, focusing on economic development, entrepreneurship, and intertribal collaboration.
The Potawatomi Economic Summit presented the opportunity to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and explore opportunities for future growth. Alexis Harris, Director of Bwadwét Innovation Community, introduced Potawatomi Ventures’ newest subsidiary, Bwadwét Innovation Community, the Indigenous-centered hub dedicated to empowering Native entrepreneurs. Ryan Brooks, CTO and GM of Data Holdings, shared about Data Holdings, the sustainable data center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin built by the Forest County Potawatomi Community. Attendees participated in conversations around economic development and strategic partnerships, highlighting the power of intertribal relationships working together to create lasting impact.
Potawatomi Ventures was honored to welcome representatives from Potawatomi sister tribes, and grateful for the meaningful dialogue, networking, and knowledge-sharing that took place throughout the day.
