Lyons Electric Receives Minority Business Enterprise Certification

Lyons Electric, a leading electrical contractor in Delafield, Wisconsin, is pleased to announce its certification as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) through the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). NMSDC is a leading corporate membership organization dedicated to advancing opportunities for certified minority-owned businesses.

This certification recognizes Lyons Electric’s dedication to maintaining excellence and promoting equity in business and the skilled trades. “Achieving the NMSDC certification is an important milestone for Lyons Electric. For current and future customers, this certification means partnering with a company that values excellence, accountability, and diversity, within the construction and electrical industries,” said Tim Cargill, President of Lyons Electric.

According to the NMSDC 2024 Minority Businesses Economic Impact Report, NMSDC-certified MBEs generated approximately $599.7 billion in economic output, supported more than 2.2 million jobs, and generated $168 billion in wages, highlighting the crucial role MBEs play in promoting economic growth.

“We’re proud to have Lyons Electric achieve this certification to expand business relationships and deepen the positive impact on communities we serve,” said Dan Montague, Chief Strategy Officer of Potawatomi Ventures.
