Potawatomi Ventures hosts first Business Expo at FCP Community Center
Potawatomi Ventures and their subsidiary companies joined together May 7-8 at the Forest County Potawatomi Community Center at the first Business Expo. The expo was held to provide an exciting opportunity for tribal members to engage with Potawatomi Ventures leaders and explore the diverse operations of the Potawatomi Ventures.
The expo brought together all Potawatomi subsidiaries: Greenfire, Sagewind, fireside MARKET, Wgema Leasing, Data Holdings, PBDC Federal Group, Indian County Innovation center (IC)2, and Potawatomi Ventures Emerging Technologies. Attendees of the expo were able to engage directly with PV leaders—fostering transparency, collaboration, and community.
The Expo also featured 4 breakout sessions lead covering PV Board Roles & Accomplishments, PV Corporate Financials & Rebrand, PBDC Federal Group Overview, and Sagewind Real Estate Development. Tribal members attended to learn more about each topic and ask questions to better understand Potawatomi Ventures businesses.
FCP Tribal Member, Chef Mikaya Alloway, of Wild Plume provided dinner for attendees rooted in indigenous recipes, honoring culture through cuisine.
Raffle prizes were offered to attendees, including Brewer game tickets, a trip to the Wisconsin Dells, a Blackstone grill set, a Microsoft Surface Pro, and a summer beach package! Winners of the prizes were tribal members Owen Shepard, Stephanie Barea, Leslie Dempsay, Stephany Daniels and Mark Daniels Sr.
The event was a great way to inform and engage tribal members on businesses Potawatomi develops and invests in. Thanks to everyone who attended. The business is looking forward to continuing this momentum and becoming brighter together!
