ETHEL BRANCH serves as a Civil Deputy County Attorney for Coconino County in Flagstaff, Arizona. She previously held two terms as Attorney General of the Navajo Nation, where she led major initiatives including the Arizona water settlement and high-profile litigation on issues such as the Gold King Mine spill, Bears Ears National Monument, and opioid abuse. Earlier in her career, Ethel represented Indigenous Nations in complex negotiations and finance, earning the 2011 NAFOA Deal of the Year Award. She is also Co-Chair of Yee Ha’olni Doo, the Navajo & Hopi Families COVID Relief Fund, which provided critical aid during the pandemic.
Ethel earned her A.B. in history from Harvard College and holds a J.D. and M.P.P. from Harvard Law School and the Harvard Kennedy School.
